The A.T. Stewart Consignment Shop has lots of Halloween decor, including these LED pumpkins.
I love the Fall! Who doesn’t love the vibrant oranges, reds and yellows of Fall foliage?! I also look forward to the change in season because I enjoy the cool mornings and lovely daytime temperatures. Time to put away the white pants and get out the comfy jeans and sweaters, which makes me think of shopping! Just a reminder that Wednesdays (ONLY) we have resumed our extended shopping hours until 6:00pm. This is especially great for those of you who work and can’t always get in before 4:00pm. And we’re open on Saturdays again!
And you’ll want to come in soon, as we are already putting out our Fall and Halloween merchandise! Check out the cute zooties for newborns and the glycerin soaps with toys inside. We have adorable LED pumpkins – mini and small, as well as some plush pumpkins. Can’t have Halloween without witches, bats and goblins! And we’re no exception! Check out these cool candy corn martini – or cosmopolitan – glasses!
If you can’t make it into the Shop, please shop online at www.atstewartexchange.org and pick up your purchases at the Exchange. We also post photos and merchandise on The Garden City Historical Society website, the AT Stewart Exchange Facebook and on the AT Stewart Exchange Instagram pages. We sure do get around!
Unfamiliar with the Exchange Consignment Shop? We are housed in The Garden City Historical Society (TGCHS) Museum on 109 Eleventh Street (in the basement of the building). All the proceeds from the Shop sales directly benefit TGCHS. In addition to our best sellers – jewelry (costume and fine), lamps, mirrors, and crystal (Waterford, Baccarat, Tiffany) — we take/accept silver, pocketbooks, china, furniture, artwork, and collectibles. All items are in new or nearly new condition.
We accept consignments Wednesday through Friday 11:00am – 2:00pm by appointment ONLY. This is done to safeguard customers, consignors, and volunteers. Appointments keep down the numbers of people in the Shop and reduces wait-times to consign. Please call (516)746-8900 to set up an appointment. Unsure if your items are appropriate to consign? Email photos to store@atstewartexchange.org and be sure to include sizing info. You will generally receive a response the same day.
Remember: all the profits from the Consignment Shop support the maintenance and upkeep of TGCHS Museum. Old World Quality will be working to repair and re-paint the back of the Museum, starting shortly. We will remain open throughout this process. And precautions will be taken to protect customers entering the Shop. Thanks for your generous support!
