Garden City Boys Excell At Frosh/Soph Track Championships








Three Garden City residents, (left to right), Sophomore Tom Slattery and Freshmen Andrew Mohacsi and Jim Searson, celebrate their Track & Field Team’s great finish at the New York City Catholic High School Frosh/Sophomore Track Championships held on May 12, at Icahn Stadium on Randall’s Island. The Chaminade Freshmen team won the Spring Outdoor 2012 Track & Field Championship Gold Medal over 16 other New York City and Long Island high schools. Contributions to the Championship effort were also made by other Garden City residents as well, including Freshmen James Walsh, Matt Flynn, Alex Wood, Jack Tobin and Will Hammersley, and by Sophomores Christopher Stamm and Brian Tully towards their Silver Medal in the Sophomore Tournament
