MISS JULIA SPEAKS HER MIND BY ANN B. ROSS
Wednesday, May 7th at 10AM
Miss Julia Speaks Her Mind by Ann B. Ross is the selection for a book discussion, which will be moderated by Gloria Weinrich, on Wednesday, May 7th at 10 AM at the Garden City Public Library. Recently widowed and newly wealthy, Miss Julia receives a visit from Hazel Marie, who claims that her nineyear old son is the child of Julia’s late husband. Suddenly, this longtime church member and pillar of her small Southern community finds herself in the center of an unseemly scandal and the guardian of a nine-year-old whose mere presence turns her life upside down. Julia forces herself to become strong willed and beautifully solves her problems.
This book discussion moderated by Mrs. Weinrich will take place in the Library’s small meeting room on the Lower Level. No registration is necessary. Copies of the book are available at the Reference Desk in the Library beginning April 7th. This event is sponsored by The Friends of The Garden City Public Library.
