Franklin Avenue bank robbed

Garden City and Nassau County Police are investigating the robbery of a bank on Franklin Avenue that took place on Tuesday, January 3rd.

According to police, an unknown man entered the TD Bank branch located at 855 Franklin Avenue at 1 p.m., approached a teller and presented him with a note demanding money. According to police the man threatened to use a weapon, although no weapon was displayed. The teller complied and the robber fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of currency.

There were eight employees in the bank at the time of the robbery, but no injuries were reported.

The robber was described as male, with a light complexion, approximately 5’8″ tall, with an average build. He was wearing a grey winter jacket and a black mask.

    I am surprised the bank robber photo has not been released. I would expect the police would have his name within the hour.
