On Saturday, March 1, at The Mercer School of Theology, Christ Church priest in charge Matt Oprendek sang, “Oh What a Beautiful Morning” from the musical Oklahoma, setting the tone for an evening that put broad smiles on the faces of all present.

Dianna Betit and husband Rev. John Betit, Canon to the Ordinary, sang among other things, “If I Loved You”, from Carousel. The Rev. Stephanie Spellers, Canon for Mission Vitality, sang “At the Ballet” from A Chorus Line along with The Rev’s Margaret A. Peckham and Clare Nesmith. Rev’s Julie Hoplamazian and Stephanie Spellers sang “I Know Him So Well” from Chess. Lots more made up the program which concluded with the cast and audience singing a medley of Broadway hits.

Diane Fillion played piano and Rev. Brian Blayer, Rector, grace Episcopal Church, Whitestone, played drums.

Master of Ceremonies, The Very Rev. Canon John McGinty, Dean of The Mercer School of Theology, kept us all laughing.
