Jake and Bobby Menges, students at Garden City High School, are sponsoring a Blood Drive at their house on Monday, July 9 from 2-8pm at 27 Hilton Avenue. The Long Island Blood Services Bloodmobile will park in their driveway.

Bobby is a pediatric cancer survivor, and the recipient of regular and numerous blood transfusions. “Giving blood is a great cause. When I was getting chemo, my red blood counts and platelet numbers were constantly low. If people don’t donate blood regularly, cancer patients like me won’t survive,” he says.

The boys’ goal is to collect 50 pints. They also hope to get 15 FIRST TIME DONORS. Donors must be a minimum of 16 years old (with written parental consent), 110 pounds, and in good health.

Email for an appointment – jakebobbyblooddrive@yahoo.co m or emenges430@verizon.net. Snacks and live music will be available!

Did you know… every pint of blood can help save THREE LIVES?
