The nationally-ranked Garden City high school boys lacrosse team improved its overall record to 8-0 on the season with conference wins over rivals MacArthur and Carey. With both wins, the team improved to 4-0 in conference B1 play. The games were played on the road and the Trojans lead early in both contests that featured strong defense, dominating faceoff play and a balanced scoring attack with many players chipping in goals.

In the first match up against MacArthur on April 10, Garden City won 17-7. Thirteen different players scored in the game with James Basile (3), Christian Sullivan (2) and Jack Downey (2) leading the way. James Adams, Ford Carney, James Crowley, Holden Overbeck, Gavin Pappas, Will Puccio, Patrick Reilly, Nick Rosato, Brady Sullivan and Trevor Yeboah- Kodie all had goals in the contest. Danny Boccafola and Jack Muldoon each had two assists while James Basile, Sal Ingrassia, Patrick Reilly, Joe Scattareggia and Brady Sullivan each had one. Goalies Eric Mueller, Nick Katos and Aidan Pfaff each had saves in the win.

In the second matchup on April 12, Garden City prevailed 12-5. Will Puccio lead the way with four goals and James Basile had 2 goals and 3 assists in the win. Brady Sullivan (2), Trevor Yeboah-Kodie (2), Gavin Pappas and Joe Scattareggia all scored in the game. Holden Overbeck (3), Gavin Pappas (2), Joe Scattareggia (2), Justin Coppola and Trevor Yeboah-Kodie all added assists. Eric Mueller and Aidan Pfaff both had saves in the game while Justin Coppola dominated at the X going 18 for 18 on faceoffs.

The Trojans continue their highly competitive out-of-conference schedule with upcoming home games against Loyola of California on April 23 and Loyola of Illinois on April 25, both games will be played at 1:00. Come out and support the team!
