The Waldorf School of Garden City has announced that

Landon Twine

, a junior in the high school, has been named the IPPSAL (Independent Private and Parochial Schools Athletic League) 2009-2010 Basketball Player of the Year. Over the past season, Landon averaged 27.7 points per game, along with more than 3 steals and almost 8 rebounds per game. Landon was also named to the IPPSAL All-Division first team. Continuing to develop his skills, Landon will play in the highly competitive Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) basketball league over the summer.
