A WORD FROM THE PUBLISHER

One sided reporting?

This week we received a call from a member of Franklin Mews LLC, the group that bought the piece of open space at Franklin Court from the Village in 2014. The person said that in our reporting we had not told the side of the story of the LLC, which is that the group’s goals were to preserve the property as open space.

If we have failed to present all sides of the issue, we do apologize to the members of the LLC. Unfortunately the list of members has not been publicly available and is not subject to the Freedom of Information Law.

However, if any members would like to be interviewed so that we can present all sides of the matter we would be happy to sit down with them. (And as always, our letters column and online comments are available as well.)

Now that the matter has presumably been concluded, if not to everyone’s satisfaction, at least in a way that is tolerable to all, there should be no impediment to keep members of the LLC from presenting their side of the story, and we would like to help bring closure to the issue.
