A WORD FROM THE PUBLISHER

The best resolutions

As we begin 2015, we’d like to wish our readers a Happy New Year!

New Year’s is traditionally a time for contemplation, on the year that has just ended and to make plans for the year to come. For many people, this is a time to make resolutions to change behavior, to take up more healthy practices and curb unhealthy behavior. While it is good to try to make changes to one’s behavior, the trouble with linking it to an arbitrary date like New Years is that if you make a slipup it becomes harder to climb back on the wagon. A better way to look at it is to make each day a “New Years”. If you slip up one day it doesn’t ruin your resolve – you can always start again the next.

In any case, when you are on a selfimprovement journey, it’s often best to look behind you and see how far you’ve come, instead of looking in front to see how far you still have to go.

Best of luck with whatever your resolutions are for 2015!
