Julia McCarthy Grows A Big Pumpkin



Five-year-old Julia McCarthy holds the 18 pound pumpkin she grew in her Garden City back yard. Julia entered her pumpkin in the recent Hicks Nurseries Giant Pumpkin Contest in Westbury, earning special commendation. The winning pumpkin weighed 846 pounds and was grown by Robert Sabin of Mill Neck.
