On January 20th more than 100 GC residents with middle school students attended the GC Cares Family Night. GCCares is a community service program that offers students the opportunity to provide service & leadership both within the middle school and the surrounding community.

Hosted by the Garden City Community Coalition, Garden City PTA and the Anti-Bullying Task Force, students and parents together created more than 400 care packages for the children at Winthrop University Hospital. Families also participated in a fun game of Family Feud while enjoying free pizza & prizes. All Middle School students who attended received a certificate for 2-hours of community service. The night was an amazing success and Winthrop University Hospital was very appreciative!
