Epilepsy program offered by Winthrop

The Winthrop-University Hospital Comprehensive Epilepsy Center will offer a special program, “Employment Rights of the Chronically Ill,” on Monday, June 3, from 7:00 to 8:00 PM. The program will be held at the Winthrop Wellness Pavilion, 1300 Franklin Avenue, Suite ML-5 in Garden City, and will address a variety of issues dealing with employment.

Speaker Paul S. McDonough, an attorney experienced in disability laws as they apply to the chronically ill, will explain what individuals need to tell employers, their rights and more.

A question and answer period will be included.

Winthrop’s Comprehensive Epilepsy Center is recognized by the NAEC (National Association of Epilepsy Centers) as a level 4 Epilepsy Center, meaning it has the highest level of medical and surgical evaluation and treatment for patients with complex epilepsy.
