Holiday Fair Saturday December 1

Do you remember the renowned annual Harvest Fair that was held at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Garden City for the last 40 years? Do you remember the delicious odors wafting from the Gourmet Lunch? And what about the terrific bargains at the Collectibles table and Silent Auction as well as the great deals in the book room? And remember those homemade apple pies along with a plethora of baked goods waiting for you? All this and more is coming up at the Holiday Fair, Saturday, December 1.

The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Central Nassau changed a 40-year November tradition and is now the Holiday Fair. The busy Pumpkin Patch with Hurricane Sandy at its heels, made this planned date change an ideal time to begin holiday shopping.

On Saturday, December 1, the Holiday Fair will feature a large Collectibles table, Silent Auction, Granny’s Attic, Raffles, Gourmet Luncheon, Snack Bar, Christmas/Hanukkah Shoppe, baked goods as well as a book room and kid’s store.

Enjoy a delicious Gourmet Luncheon while you shop at the fair or if you are just a bit hungry stop at the Snack Bar. The same delicious home made baked goods that you may remember from years back or savored at the Pumpkin Patch, with the same renowned bakers are again at work creating special pies, cakes and cookies for gifts, holiday entertaining or your family’s pleasure.

Doors open at 10:00 am and close at 4:00 pm. The Holiday Fair location is 223 Stewart Avenue at the corner of Nassau Boulevard, where you probably saw the field of pumpkins in October.
