Mon. Dec. 3rd - 1:30 PM Speaker: Russell G. Fumoso, MD, Board Certified Ophthalmologist.

The doctor specializes in cataract surgery but can address all aspects of eye health including glaucoma, macular degeneration and eye damage in diabetics. Dr. Fumoso is a founding partner of Ophthalmic Consultants of Long Island, with nine offices in Nassau and Suffolk counties. Nearby offices include: East Meadow, Mineola, Manhasset, and Rockville Center. Note our later starting time of 1:30pm.

About the GCRMC: All Garden City men, 55 and older, are eligible for membership. The annual fee for members is a modest $10. The Club is nonsectarian and non-political. The main club meeting is every Monday, from noon to 5:00 p.m. at 6 Golf Club Lane (directly behind Lord&Taylor’s parking lot). The Club offers two regulation size pool tables, a large screen TV, card games (bridge, poker, cribbage), and in good weather, bocce and shuffleboard. There is a monthly speaker and periodic trips and social events. For additional information about the Club contact the Membership Chairman at 516-327-0226.

NOTE: An expansion and renovation of the GC Senior Center building, at Golf Club Lane, is expected to be completed in mid- to late 2013. At that time, the activitity and program offerings for the GCRMC, and for all GC senior groups, will be greatly expanded. Currently, a focus group is finalizing architectural plans which will include a 75% increase in the square footage of the main meeting room. Construction should begin in the Spring of 2013.
