Back To Girl Scouts Night

Sabrina, from Juniors Troop 1454 and Courtney, from Cadette Troop 1125 Sabrina, from Juniors Troop 1454 and Courtney, from Cadette Troop 1125 On October 16, some 240 adults and girls gathered for the first annual Garden City Association’s “Back to Girl Scouts Night”. Colorful information displays and tables were set up to represent every level of Girl Scouts. Winners of the last bake-off competition provided their delicious desserts for all, and there were ample samples of legendary Girl Scout Cookies and Fall Product Sale delights. Girls considering joining Girl Scouts attended with their parents to learn about great programs offered for girls of all ages. Current Girl Scouts came to have a great time. Parents and other caring adults were there to learn about the many exciting events the Garden City Association has planned for this school year. Crafts were created, laughs were shared and supportive attendees signed up to volunteer to help in various ways for the new school year. Parents took a minute to complete an electronic survey on iPads the Nassau County Council generously provided, and by doing so gave their respective Troops a chance at great prizes. It was a very successful evening, and really showcased the vibrancy and enthusiasm that makes Girl Scouts a wonderful experience for everyone.
