St. Joseph Catholic School Celebrates St. Patrick's Day
The SJS banner proudly displayed A warm sunny day greeted the marchers this past Sunday, as they took to the streets to march in honor of St. Patrick's Day. Everybody's Irish on this special feast day, and the St. Joseph School community was out in their green finery to celebrate the day. The band, under the direction of Mr. Spera, sported their new hats and were in fine form as they made their way down the new parade route, preceded by the school board and P.T.A. Executive Board. After the parade, Carrie Deehan hosted the annual Post-Parade Party in the gym, where partygoers were treated to a performance by the very talented dancers from the Donny Golden School of Irish Step Dancing in nearby Mineola. Thank you to Dr. and Mrs. Doctor, former SJS parents, for organizing the entertainment, and to Carrie Deehan for a wonderful party and to all the marchers and parade goers, who gave us so much support!
