The Garden City High School Junior Varsity Basketball team, coached by 2nd year coach Ray Chaputian, has improved its overall record to 11-3 (5-2 in conference play.) The squad rallied from a 10 point deficit to beat a tough Jericho group 35-20 this past Tuesday Jan 31st. The Trojans' suffocating defense held their Jericho opponent to 6 points for the entire 2nd half. The JV players are now preparing for their final 3 conference games including a Tues Feb 7th rematch against Southside, one of only 2 conference teams to beat Garden City during regular season action. The GC Hoopsters have relied upon a combination of seasoned sophomores and talented freshmen as they build on the success of last year's campaign.
