The GCAA will be holding travel baseball tryouts in mid- March for the spring, summer and fall 2012 seasons for any child between ages 8 and 12 who lives or attends school in Garden City. Teams are divided by little league age as opposed to school grade. Players born after April 30, 2004 are not eligible this year. Likewise, since at this time, the GCAA only sponsors travel baseball teams through age U12, there are no GCAA travel teams for any player born before May 1, 1999.

Anyone participating in the GCAA travel program must also participate in intramurals. The intent of the travel baseball program is to provide the opportunity to play more baseball to those who are interested, not to replace intramurals. Players must be willing to play baseball on a year round basis because the teams selected will play in the Spring, Summer and Fall of 2012.

Exact dates and locations of the tryouts will be provided shortly, but any player wishing to tryout should pre- register via e- mail prior to March 5, 2012. If your child played on a GCAA travel team this past fall, you can pre- register by notifying his travel manager.
