Pack 7 Races Into 2012!

Cars built for speed...with style Cars built for speed...with style Was it the Grand Prix? Was it a meeting of Pack 7? It was a little of both! Complete with a race track, checkered flags and pit stops, the Scouts of Cub Pack 7 held its annual Pinewood Derby. The Scouts designed and built their own 7 inch wooden race cars. The Pinewood Derby is a Cub Scouting tradition which started in 1953. Every year scouts take a simple kit containing one wood block, four axles and four wheels and create their own car to race down aluminum tracks. Pack 7 Scouts and their families enjoyed an exciting evening of competition, good sportsmanship and fun!

Founded in 1932, Pack 7 is the longest running Cub Scout Pack in Nassau County. Our Charter Organization is the Garden City American Legion, William Bradford Turner Post # 263. The Pack meets monthly from Sept- June in GC Public Schools. All boys in first through fifth grade are eligible to join Cub Scouts. Please contact Robin Aversa, Pack Committee Chair at ( 516) 640- 4106 for more information. Check our website at http:// gcpack7. club to learn more about our Pack!
