The Garden City Public Library has a new BookScan Station located in the Computer Lab to digitize, archive and preserve your paperwork and memories. Do you have a typewritten document that you would rather not retype? Do you want to digitize a photo to attach it to an email? With the BookScan Station, located in the Computer Lab on the Lower Level of the Garden City Public Library, you can archive your paperwork and preserve your memories. Using a simple, touchscreen interface, you can scan items to a Word, JPEG, or PDF file and save them to a USB flashdrive. Once saved, the file can be attached to an email or, in the case a Word document, edited. If you don't have a computer at home, you can sit down in the Library's Computer Lab, insert your drive, and work with your files.
