DAR To Hold Annual Luncheon

The Colonel Aaron Ogden Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution will hold their annual Philanthropic Luncheon on Friday, April 20th at beautiful Westbury Manor.

Speaker at the luncheon will be former Republican Congressional candidate Frank Scaturro. He will address the topic of the restoration of the Grant’s Tomb landmark in New York City. General Ulysses Grant, Union hero of the Civil War, died in 1885 and became the 18th President of the United States. Scaturro was instrumental in the effort to restore the tomb.

The April 20th luncheon will begin with social hour at 11: 30am , which features butler passed hors d’oeuvres and a cold display of fruits, salads, cheeses, artisan breads . There will be a first course of salad, followed by a choice of three entrees, and dessert. Soft drinks are included. Cost of the luncheon is $40 per person, cash bar. The always popular raffle to support DAR philanthropies will be held.
