The Daughters of the American Revolution, Garden City Chapter, Colonel Aaron Ogden will exhibit “A Commemoration of the War of 1812” showcased from February 1-28, 2012 at the Garden City Public Library. This collection will illustrate how young America took a military stand against the British Empire. Learn about “The Star Spangled Banner” which was originally written as a poem & subsequently composed into music by Francis Scott Key.
