The Community Club of Garden City and Hempstead is pleased to invite members and guests to join us at the Garden City Casino February 1, 2012 at 1: 30 for a lecture on Mark Twain featuring David Houston as “ Mark Twain.” David Houston is an actor, set designer, published author, and playwright and is well known to New York patrons. His lecture is on the nature of comedy and whit on Twain’s early development. As a writer, he took from the essays and stories of the great American humorist, with dramatized reading’s. Some of his numerous accomplishments are leading roles in Death of a Salesman, Me and my Gal, anything Goes and High Society. His diverse training in art theatre and literature started in Texas and continued in New York where he studied acting with Rose Schulman of the Hedgrove School.

Please join us for this warm and affectionate portrayal of America’s humorist. Light refreshments will be served after the program.
