Kids Day Off (Martin Luther King Jr. Day) - Monday, January 16th

Please join us for our next Kids Day Off event to take place on Monday, January 16th, from 11am-12:30 pm. We will be holding the event at The Cupcake Corner Too, conveniently located at 62 New Hyde Park Rd. in Garden City. The morning activities will include; ceramic painting, cupcake decorating, songs, pizza and juice. The cost for this event is $27 per child. It will be a great day, we hope you can come! Rock-n-Bowl-Saturday, January 21st

It’s time for our favorite Rock-n-Bowl! Hurry! This event fills up fast! What could be better than beating the winter doldrums at the ever popular Rock -n- Bowl!. Whether you bowl strikes or gutter balls, this is an evening not to be missed. Bring your husband, come with a friend and be ready for a night of fun, laughs and hopefully some STRIKES!! Come to the Garden City Lanes located at 987 Stewart Ave. on Saturday, January 21st from 7:30-11:00pm to bowl as many games as you can before the party ends. Evening of Beauty at Long Island Plastic Surgery Group- Thursday, February 9th

Golf lessons at Cherry Valley Club were a big hit this Fall! Ed Kelly, golf pro, worked with 2 classes of GCWC ladies to help them improve their golf game. If you missed out on this wonderful opportunity this Fall, don’t worry. You will be able to try again this Spring! Bunko is a fast paced diced game usually played in a group of 12. The game is fun & easy to learn & play!

We need a few more players and substitutes to get a new regular group playing. We will be holding a tutorial for new players to meet and learn shortly after the Fall Newcomer’s Cocktail. Could your home use some improvement? Betty’s Helping Hands has a list of licensed and insured contractors, electricians, plumbers and more. All have been recommended by Garden City residents. So, whatever is on your “to do” list, just ask for the name of a professional. We even have a few that are “not recommended” by other Welcoming Club members, but included based on their experiences.
