GC Resident Honored To Be Honored

Redman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Astoria Financial Corporation and Astoria Federal Savings, will be honored at this year’s SCO Family of Services Shepherd’s Ball at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury on November 18.
Mr. Redman has a deep commitment to strengthening local communities and to assisting vulnerable children and their families. For more than 25 years, Astoria Federal has proudly supported the work of SCO Family of Services, helping the organization to grow and meet changing needs.
“We have enjoyed a very special relationship with SCO over the years and I am impressed with the compassionate, life-changing services it provides to people of all ages, especially those who are facing difficult challenges. I am honored to play a part in helping SCO to help others,” Monte Redman said.
Funds raised at the annual Shepherd’s Ball help SCO Family of Services provide unconditional care to more than 40,000 people each year at over 120 locations throughout New York City and Long Island. Ninety-three cents out of every dollar donated goes directly to help people in need.
