Mavroudis - Camarinos Wedding
Mr. and Mrs. Michael Camarinos Lauren Anne Mavroudis, the daughter of Anne Mavroudis and John M. Mavroudis of Alpine, N.J., was married Saturday, June 25, to Michael Damian Camarinos, the son of Barbara Camarinos and Dr. Nicholas G. Camarinos of Garden City.
His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios of America performed the ceremony at the Greek Orthodox Archdiocesan Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New York and was assisted by officiants Reverend Father Alexander Karloutsos, Protopresbyter of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople, Reverend Father Mark Arey, Director of Inter-Orthodox Ecumenical and Interfaith Relations of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, and Reverend Doctor Frank Marangos, Dean of the Cathedral. A reception followed at The Plaza Hotel.
Mrs. Camarinos, 27, is a Vice President, assisting in daily operations, at Rio Vista, a real estate development and health-care services company in Oradell, N.J.; her father is a founder and the chief executive. The bride’s father is also an Archon of the Greek Orthodox Church, a Member of the Board of Syracuse University College of Law and a past recipient of the Ellis Island Medal of Honor. The bride’s mother is a former teacher with a master’s degree in education from Syracuse University. She also completed the interior design for the New Jersey Health Care Center and for the models at Rio Vista Greens in Northvale, N.J.
The bride graduated cum laude from Syracuse University’s SI Newhouse School of Public Communications and received a Juris Doctor from New York Law School where she was a member of the Dean’s List.
Mr. Camarinos, 26, is an Assistant District Attorney at the Bronx County District Attorney’s Office. He graduated from Fordham College and received a Juris Doctor from Fordham Law School. While in law school, Mr. Camarinos was a member of the Dean’s List, a recipient of the John D. Feerick Award, and an American Bar Association
Negotiation Champion.
His father is a podiatrist with a private practice in Astoria, Queens; the bridegroom’s mother is the office manager. Dr. Camarinos is also the chief of podiatric surgery at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center and the President of the Society of Honorary Police Surgeons of the City of New York.
