On Thursday August 26 th , members of the Garden City Retired Men’s Club met to celebrate the 80 th birthday of 14 of its members. The attending celebrants included Bill Tierney, Richard Benack, Charlie Sena, Jerry Weisburg, Patrick Concannon, Andrew Del Vecchio, Anthony Annunziato and Angelo Romano. The afternoon was pleasant and spirited. Thanks to Rudy Kaiser and Gary Metzler the food was hot, delicious and plentiful. Given a 2 minute time frame each of the birthday boys, or his representative speaker proudly recited the important events that contributed to a successful and interesting life. The members concluded with an ‘off key’ Happy Birthday to deserving group of celebrants.
