Father Robert Picken The Very Rev. Theodore Bean, Dean of the Cathedral of the Incarnation, has announced the appointment of The Reverend Robert A. Picken to serve as Canon for Pastoral Care and Liturgy at the Cathedral of the Incarnation. His appointment is effective August 1. For the past four years, Father Picken has served as Priest In Charge of the Church of the Ascension in the Greenpoint community of Brooklyn.  A son of the Episcopal Diocese of Long Island, he was ordained deacon and priest in the Cathedral of the Incarnation in 2006.  His home parish is Grace Church, Massapequa.  In addition to earning a Master of Divinity degree from The General Theological Seminary, he also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Catholic University of America. Father Picken will also be facilitating the work of the Diocesan Liturgical Commission of which he currently serves as Chair.  His duties at the Cathedral will include assisting the Dean with the liturgy and preaching and also coordinating pastoral care to the sick and shut-in.
