Coach George Liberopoulos The Mavericks, after going undefeated to win their division title and coming within a goal of winning the Waldbaums Cup, capped of an incredible Spring 2010 season by winning the LIJSL Sportsmanship Award for the second season in a row.

The Mavericks and the sideline consistently exhibited class and grace in many high pressure situations while our guys “ran the table”. This one is a true team award!

As we turn the page on last season the following Mavericks should be congratulated  on moving up to their respective “A” teams; Capt. Steven Spirakis, JP Trabulsi, Ian Gallagher and Vincent “Hollywood” Como. All will be missed for the work ethic, attitude and personality they brought to every training session and to the pitch on game day. Best of luck to all. 

The Mavericks now turn to the Fall season with the welcome additions of  Danny Boccafola, James Buckley, Dimitri Koufis, Chris Mercadante, Mark Michon and Pat Kavan.
