St. Joseph School Graduation
Father Joe reads the yearbook dedication to Mr. Frank
As we move into a new school year, the St. Joseph School family wishes our most recent graduates all the best in their new high schools. June was an exciting, bittersweet time for the graduating eighth graders, most of whom entered the school as three year old Nursery students. The regular First Friday Mass was the first organized by the first grade class and the last school Mass attended by the graduates as a class. During the annual yearbook blessing, the school custodian, Mr. Frank, was called onto the altar for the surprise announcement that the graduates had dedicated their yearbooks to him in thanks for his years of hard work. They had even invited his wife, and frequent “side kick”, Teri, as another surprise.
The graduation week continued with the walk into town for a Grimaldis lunch followed by dessert at Cold Stone. Next up was the trip to Manhattan for lunch at Planet Hollywood and an afternoon showing of Wicked. The festivities closed with the Graduation Breakfast and Awards Ceremony at the Cherry Valley Club, immediately followed by the Graduation Mass.
