Getting Ready for Fall

It’s back to school time and Young Adults are invited to check out the Garden City Public Library’s Fall program season for programs and activities designed specifically for students in grades 6 -12. The First Aid Session conducted by JoAnn Tanck, RN and Georgette Basso, RN, focuses on the care and health of young children. Participants are asked to bring a doll so they may practice the proper ways to hold a baby while feeding and changing diapers. The Safety Session conducted by Assistant Supt. of Recreation Ed Fronckwicz and Detective Richard Pedone, focuses on keeping you and those children in your care out of harm’s way and how to handle unfortunate situations should they arise. Certificates of Completion will be awarded to those attending both sessions.
