Garden City Chamber Foundation To Host “Day At The Races”

E. Christopher Murray, president, and Joanne Adams, immediate past president and Community Relations Director, New York Racing Association (NYRA), have announced that on Saturday, September 18, noon, the Garden City Chamber Foundation, charitable arm of the Chamber, will hold its annual “Day at the Races” at Belmont Park in support of the mission of the Foundation. This exciting afternoon begins with a luncheon in the Belmont Room at noon and is $75 per person (excluding alcohol). Attendance is limited to the first 75 to respond. Race post time is at 1 p.m. and continues throughout the day.
A great opportunity is to sponsor a race. Sponsors receive: their name on the program, televised trophy presentation, a crystal NYRA frame with commemorative photo, and race name announced by track announcer, Tom Durkin. The fee for race sponsor is $250.
The mission of the Chamber Foundation is to provide funds for members of the Garden City community in need and scholarships for deserving Garden City High School students.
Please note the required attire: jacket/tie for gentlemen; dress/pants (no jeans) for the ladies.
