The organizers of Creative Cups, the life-affirming art/fundraising event of the Adelpbi NY Statewide Breast Cancer Hotline & Support Program, have announced that the deadline for submissions has been extended to September 15. Says Hillary Rutter, the director of the Adelphi NY Statewide Breast Cancer Hotline & Support Program, “We have heard from many people who want a bit more time in order to participate, so we’re giving them a few more weeks.” The original deadline was August 2.

Creative Cups are ordinary bras that have been transformed into works of art. They were created by artists, art students, children, breast cancer survivors and their friends and family members. All entries will be included in a book about the event and will be auctioned on March 15, at Adelphi University in Garden City.

Creative Cups(tm) celebrates the lives of those living with breast cancer and those we have lost to this terrible disease.
