The Garden City B Swim Team members all put forth a top-notch effort against Freeport to win with a score of 324-83. Results of the meet were as follows:

Medley Relay

Jr. Girls: Alexis Varano, Kelly McDonald, Caitlin Bianchi and Cate Schick were the winning relay team. Claire Schick, Caroline Dealy, Abby Brita and Ava Herrera came in 2nd.

Jr. Boys: Logan Aquino, Henry Huidsten, Ryan Walsh and John McDonald placed 1st with James Filomena, Patrick Creaven, Stephen Bernhard and Jack Ryan finishing 2nd.

Sr. Girls: Erin Wallace, Tara DeAngelo, Amanda Volpe and Annie Blanco swam to a 1st place finish with the team of Marianna Doyamis, Katherine Donovan, Megan Walsh and Emily Donovan finishing 2nd.

Sr. Boys: Patrick Martin, Nick Pena, Kevin Connelly and Aidan Polke finished 2nd. Matt Pena, Aidan Logan, Tom Ryan and Trevor Aquino came in 3rd.

Freestyle:

8&Under Girls: Reese Bauer pulled out a 1st place finish with Shannon Biel placing 3rd.

8&Under Boys: Dylan McDonald came in 1st with George Arianas securing 2nd place.

9&10 Girls: Cate Schick easily swam to a 1st place finish with Isabella Herrera hanging on for 3rd.

9&10 Boys: In an all GC race John McDonald, Ryan Walsh and Blaise Trippani placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively.

11&12 Girls: Allison Giraldo maintained her season winning streak in this event with a 1st place finish.

11&12 Boys: Treavor Aquino swam this event for 1st place points.

13&Up Girls: GC locked up this event with Jen Leary, Tara DeAngelo and Alex Teri placing 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively.

13&Up Boys: In an all GC finish Andrew Sallecker, Mike O’Sullivan and Rilly Martin placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Backstroke:

8&Under Girls: GC went one, two in this event with Audra Fitzgerald placing 1st and Sophia Boccio 2nd.

8&Under Boys: Raymond Rudolph and Grant Krawiec were the 2nd and 3rd place finishers in this event respectively.

9&10 Girls: Alessia Arianas swam to a 2nd place finish with Kelly McDonald coming in 3rd.

9&10 Boys: In an all GC race Ryan Walsh, Harry Ernst and Nicholas Krawiec placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively.

11&12 Girls: Against tough competition Erin Wallace touched for 2nd place.

11&12 Boys: David Leary and Aidan Polke swam to 1st and 2nd place finishes respectively.

13&Up Girls: In a close race Emily Donovan came in 1st with Marianna Doyamis placing 2nd.

13&Up Boys: Bryan Sallecker took the early lead and placed 1st with Kevin Connelly swimming to a 2nd place finish.

Breaststroke:

8&Under Girls: 1st and 2nd place were secured by Audra Fitzgerald and Gianna Buckley.

8&Under Boys: Out in front was Paul Varano with a 1st place finish with Michael White picking up points for 3rd.

9&10 Girls: In a close race Caitlin Bianchi and Alexis Varano were the 1st and 2nd place finishers.

9&10 Boys: Just inched out by the competition Patrick Creaven gets 2nd and Henry Huidsten 3rd.

11&12 Girls: A 2nd and 3rd place finished were turned in by Amanda Volpe and Caroline Bianchi.

11&12 Boys: Tommy Ryan and Nick Pena added points with 1st and 2nd place finishes respectively.

13&Up Girls: Shannon Callahan pulled out a 1st place finish for the team.

13&Up Boys: Battling against each other again, Andrew Sallecker and Mike O’Sullivan went one, two respectively.

Butterfly:

8&Under Girls: GC swept this event with Claire Schick, Caroline Flanagan and Allison McDonald placing 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively.

8&Under Boys: In an all GC race Dean Trippani, Colin Walsh and Mike White placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively.

9&10 Girls: Alexis Varano swam to a 1st place finish with Caitlin Bianchi just behind her coming in 2nd. Megan Dealy came in 3rd.

9&10 Boys: Stephen Bernhard, Logan Aquino and Harry Ernst locked up 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.

11&12 Girls: Megan Walsh secured 1st for the team in this event.

11&12 Boys: In a neck and neck race Matthew Varano pulled out after the turn and held on for a 1st place finish.

13&Up Girls: Mary Kate O’Sullivan and Annie Blanco swam to 1st and 2nd place finishes.

13&Up Boys: In an all GC race Aidan Logan, Kieran O’Sullivan and Matt Pena placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Freestyle Relay

Jr. Girls: Megan Dealy, Alexa Molloy, Delany Comerford and Emily Gaven swam to a 2nd place finish with Gabriella Bevil, Audrey White, Tess Curtin and Erin Donnelly coming in 3rd.

Jr. Boys: James Filomena, Harry Ernst, Patrick Creaven and Logan Aquino finished 1st with Carlos Africa, Henry Huidsten, Nicholas Krawiec and Blaise Trippani finishing 2nd. Sr. Girls: The team of Megan Walsh, Alex Teri, Amanda Fabus and Erin Wallace touched 2nd with Meghen Creaven, Francis Brown, Annie Blanco and MaryKate O’Sullivan finishing 3rd.

Sr. Boys: Bryan Sallecker, Kiernan O’Sullivan, Matthew Varano and David Leary were a close 2nd with Liam Fitzgerald, Patrick Martin, Nick Pena and Trevor Aquino touching 3rd.
