Students in Miss McCavera’s second grade class look forward to visits from parents throughout the school year. Every Wednesday morning a parent reads a book to the class. Sometimes a grandparent or older sibling will read as well. Students are always learning about careers in our community. Parents visit to talk about their jobs. If appropriate, some children are able to bring their pet to school. The student shares how they care for their pet and some interesting facts about the animal. The class is always respectful and quiet when visitors are in the classroom. They were lucky to have so many interesting visitors this year and thank them for their time and enthusiasm.
