With the heat of the summer here, it’s no wonder that the Garden City Pool has had an upsurge in membership. It’s a great way to beat the heat. On the other hand, it’s been just too hot for a lot of other outside activities in the past few weeks.

Fortunately, we hear that some cooler weather will be on the way, at least for the next few days. We can hope that the cool front coming down from Canada sticks around for a little while and brings the temperatures down a few degrees.

With the (hopefully) cooler weather coming, maybe we’ll all feel like getting out and doing things instead of staying indoors or in the cool water of the pool.

One of our readers has been interested in improving the quality of bicycling in Garden City. We posted an inquiry on our Facebook page this week (yes, we’re on Facebook - stop by and say hello!) about bicycling in Garden City, but we’d like to hear from everyone else as well.
