Fifth Graders Perform At Carnegie Hall
Caroline Tully
Caroline Tully and Elizabeth Tully , both age 11, performed on June 19th at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall, New York City. Their performance marks the third appearance of the Tully sisters at Carnegie Hall. The girls are students at St. Jospeh School, Garden City and study piano under the instruction of Ana Maria Trenchi Bottazzi of the Bottazzi School of Music, Manhasset.
In her review of the performance, pianist and performing artist Daniela Bracchi noted Caroline Tully’s command of CPE Bach’s Solfeggieto “evident by the powerful contrasts and the seamless passage of the lines between the hands.” Bracchi also noted Elizabeth Tully’s performance of Mozart’s Ronda Alla Turca that “capitalized on the ostinato left-hand and brilliant flourishes of the right hand to bring out the Turkish flavor of the piece.”
