GC Orthodontist Offers Pro Bono Service

Garden City Orthodontist Dr. Denise Emma is proud to announce her partnership with Smiles Change Lives (SCL), a national charity that helps low-income children get braces. LeAnn Smith, Chief Operating Officer of Smiles Change Lives states, “SCL connects deserving children with the orthodontists in their community who want to help them.” Dr. Emma says that one of the reasons she joined Smiles Change Lives is because “I am dedicated and passionate about this profession and am committed to providing orthodontic treatment to patients who would otherwise not be able to receive this special care.”

It is orthodontists like Emma who are donating their talents and have agreed to treat approved SCL patients. SCL wants to find children who need braces the most and put these doctors to good use. Offering affordable orthodontic treatment to low-income children is extremely important to these doctors. Their support and the support of hundreds of orthodontists nationwide, SCL is in need of applicants. SCL is currently seeking children: ages 11-18 with severely crooked teeth and misaligned jaws whose family income is at or below 200% of Federal poverty level.
