If you love to cook (or are interested in improving your culinary skills) then this event is not to be missed!

Please join us on Tuesday, June 8th from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at the Viking School, 835 Franklin Avenue. You will participate in preparing as well as enjoying a fabulous gourmet meal. The menu includes the following: Jamaican Jerk Chicken Skewers, Tamarind-Glazed Grilled Shrimp, Crisp Salad Greens with Macadamia Nuts and Mango-Mint Vinaigrette and White Chocolate Banana Cream Tart with Caramel Sauce. Wine will be enjoyed with dinner. Space is limited so if you are interested, we encourage you to act fast!

BACKYARD BASH

June marks the end of the Social Committee’s calendar. We invite you to come celebrate at our End of Year Party. This year, we’ll celebrate in the tradition of summer with backyard bash. On Saturday, June 12th grab your husband and your friends and come to the home of Colleen and Keith Parker, 51 Locust Street at 7:00pm. We’ll close the year and welcome summer with a tent, DJ, kegs, wine and dinner. The cost is $40 per person. Party starts at 7:00pm. The Welcoming Club of Garden City is a well-established women’s organization, which not only focuses on welcoming new members to our community through a variety of social activities, but also promotes charitable and humanitarian projects. We offer many events for couples, children, families and ladies. Some of the events and clubs we offer include Running/Walking Club, Ladies Night Out, Toddler Playgroups, Gourmet Club, Arts and Crafts, Book Club, Bunko, Children’s Activities, Bowling, Social/Couples Events, Movie Night, Tennis and Golf. The Welcoming Club of Garden City is for Garden City residents who want to make new friends, have a great time, or learn something new.

The Welcoming Club is winding down for this year. We have a few events left. It’s not too late to get into one of our groups that meet during the summer.
