Garden City Senior News COMPUTER KINDERGARTEN FOR SENIORS
The Recreation Department will again offer a seven week “Computer Kindergarten” program to Garden City Seniors. This hands on workshop is for the person who wants to get more knowledge of its computer and its uses. Each week a different computer topic will be shown and discussed, building on the experiences of previous weeks. No experience is necessary and computers will be provided for use. Space is limited to 24 people and pre-registration is necessary. The cost to attend this program will be $60. To register, please visit the Recreation Office next door to St. Paul’s Senior Center at 108 Rockaway Ave.

TRIP TO MOHONK MOUNTAIN HOUSE
Come spend the day at this National Historic Landmark. Prime Time Travel will conduct a trip to Mohonk Mountain House on Tuesday, September 21. We will travel by coach bus to this 140 year old retreat which is featured in the best selling book “1000 Places to See Before You Die”. A Luncheon buffet is included in the cost, which is $97. Space is limited. A $30 deposit, in the form of a check written to “Prime Time Travel” is necessary to hold your reservation. Garden City Recreation is sponsoring a Prime Time Travel Trip to Essex, CT on Tuesday, October 14. Enjoy the fall foliage as we travel by coach bus to Essex, where we will first have lunch at the historic Griswolds’ Inn. You will have time to browse the quaint town before boarding an authentic steam train that will take us through Connecticut’s countryside. We will then board an enclosed boat and enjoy cruising along the Connecticut River. The cost of this trip is $90 and space is limited.
