ROCK N BOWL

Rock ‘N Bowl is here! Join us for a night of bowling, dinner and drinks on Saturday, March 20th from 7:30 pm to 11:00 pm at Garden City Lanes on Stewart Avenue. This popular event has become a couple’s night tradition with the Garden City Welcoming Club and promises to be a great night. For those basketball fans, there will be large screen TVs perfect for viewing March Madness. If you are interested in creating teams with friends, please send in your checks together with a list of names. The maximum number of people per lane is 6. If you would like to have two lanes together, please send in your checks together with a list of 12 people. The cost is $55 per person. Checks payable to The Welcoming Club of Garden City can be sent to Marie Penney 97 Transverse Rd. The deadline for registration is March 13th. As with all the couple events this year; all members of the Welcoming Club, Garden City residents and friends are welcome to join us!

GOLF

Get ready to Swing into Spring with Golf Lessons from Ed Kelley, golf pro at the Cherry Valley Club. The cost is $60. Make checks payable to Ed Kelley, and includes four one-hour golf lessons. The dates and times are as follows:

2010/2011 Season

It is time for the 2010/2011 tennis season. If you are interested, please complete the form which will be e-mailed and posted here on March 1st. Submit the completed form and 2 checks. The checks will cover a $100 tennis deposit and $30 for 2010/2011 membership dues, both made out to the Garden City Welcoming Club. I will accept checks by mail only. Preference will be given to complete groups of 6 people that have all checks submitted. Mail checks & completed forms to Rose Curth, 112 6th Street.

Tennis Round Robin - Save the Date, Saturday April 17, 7:30pm-10:00pm

This fun event will take place at the Garden City Community Park and be round robin doubles...so grab your husband or friend and get out for some fun. Newcomers Cocktail

On May 3rd, the Welcoming Club of Garden City will be hosting its Spring “Cinco de Mayo” Newcomer’s Cocktail Party! This is a great way to learn about the various committees, philanthropic causes and fun activities associated with the club. Please join us for a fun-filled night of good food, drinks and laughs! The Welcoming Club of Garden City is a well-established women’s organization, which not only focuses on welcoming new members to our community through a variety of social activities, but also promotes charitable and humanitarian projects.
