G.C.H.S. Varsity Lacrosse Team with the 4th Grade G.C.Y.L. Players The Garden City Youth Lacrosse players in Grades 4 through 6 enjoyed a huge treat last Wednesday night as they practiced with Coach Steve Finnell and his G.C. High School Varsity Lacrosse team. The boys experienced a terrific evening that combined a wide variety of instructive lacrosse drills and presentations with an exciting, fun event they are sure to remember.

One of the other goals of the clinic was to begin to indoctrinate the players at early age into the systems and specific approach to lacrosse utilized by the High School. This concept has been used very effectively elsewhere on the Island.

The G.C.Y.L. would like to thank all the varsity players and the coaches for donating their time for the boys and particularly Coach Finnell for all his efforts and dedication in making this clinic happen. The organization was also delighted to have present the legendary G.C.H.S. Football and J.V. Lax Coach Tom Flatley. Our appreciation as well to Nancy Kalafus, Director of Athletics and Physical Education at the High School, for her kind support of the event.
