On February 27, Connor Horl, a Senior at Garden City High school and 215 lb wrestler, finished in second place at the New York State Wrestling Championships in Albany. Connor was seeded sixth and won his first three matches by 3-2 scores on his way to the finals, defeating both the number 2 and 3 seeded wrestlers in very exciting matches. Connor lost in the finals in another exciting match by a score of 1-0 to Keith Colling of Pioneer NY. Colling is a returning state and national champion. The Nassau County Team Finished in 2nd place overall. Connor is coached by Garden City HS coaches Reid Scalfani and Marc Czachor, two of the finest coaches in Nassau County.
