GCAA Intramural March Mayhem Basketball Playoffs Continue
GCAA Intramural basketball playoffs fittingly started on March 1st and the madness immediately ensued at St. Paul’s. The 4-5 girls play in game was held March 1st while the 5-6 boys finished their regular season with 8 of the 12 seeds up in the air depending on what happened with the 2 Monday night games. After the Monday contests were over, the 5-6 boys were seeded and 8 teams were back at St. Paul’s the next night, Tuesday March 2nd, for the four 5-6 boys single elimination challenges.
A complete set of bracket for our GCAA playoff format which includes all of our intramural teams is set forth below.
As you can see from the brackets below, many games were decided by very narrow margins resulting in exciting and frenzied finishes. A very memorable night during our playoff action was Monday March 8th with two 3rd semi-final games both decided by one point and our two 5-6 boys semi-final contests ending in a 3 and 4 point margin, respectively. Four games cumulatively decided by 9 points. The packed house at St. Paul’s will not soon forget the exciting baseline to baseline action, the loud cheering noises and the intensity of playoff competition.
We invite all K-8th graders and K-8th graders to build on the momentum GCAA generated this year by being a part of our basketball action in the 2010-2011 season.
The last Saturday of our season will be Saturday March 13th, “Championship Saturday”
