Update On St. Paul’s Preservation
Brian Pinnola, President of the Garden City Historical Society, stands by St. Paul’s.
The Garden City Community Church is sponsoring a very informative Forum on the update on the preservation of the historic St. Paul’s School. The gathering will be held Sunday, March 14th in the parlor between 9:15am and 10:30am, when the church service starts. The public is invited.
The event will feature The Garden City Historical Society President, Brian Pinnola and Chairman of “Stop the Demolition” Committee , Albert Intreglia. They will talk about recent developments concerning St. Paul’s, show the DVD, “Save St. Paul’s Now: Protect Garden City’s DNA” and host a discussion . Mr. Pinnola and Mr. Intreglia will also have copies of the DVD, “Save St. Paul’s Now” available. The DVD was produced by The Garden City Historical Society and the Committee to Save St. Paul’s. Coffee & refreshments will be served.
The Historical Society agrees with Steve Booke, who resides in Lynbrook. He is a St. Paul’s alumnus from 1980-1986 who said, “Where else can you find such a beautiful building? St. Paul’s is like “Long Island Royalty”. If it’s demolished, it’s like knocking down a castle in Europe!”
All Garden City residents are invited to attend this important event. The Garden City Community Church is located on Stewart Avenue and Whitehall Boulevard. Please use the Whitehall Boulevard door. The parlor is on the left as you walk in.
