On Thursday, February 4th, a retirement dinner was held in honor of retiring Captain Felix Jakubowski from the Garden City Special Police. Felix, a resident of the Village for almost forty years, was honored for his 28 years of voluntary service as a Garden City Special Police officer. During those 28 years Felix rose through the ranks to become Captain, a rank held for 14 years. Joining Felix for this occasion was Police Commissioner Cipullo, Inspector Kenneth Jackson, Felix’s immediate family and the entire Garden City Special Police unit.
The Special Police wish Felix and his family many happy returns for the future. A great time was held by all in attendance.
