Enjoy a FREE concert celebrating the songs & stories of Mary Martin in “The Music of Mary Martin” on Thursday, March 25, 2010 at 2:00pm at the Garden City Public Library located at 60 Seventh St., Garden City, NY. Lisa Berman, vocalist; Stephen Goldstein, pianist; and Ruthe McKeown, narrator will bring the life and times of this legendary star of American Musical Theater to the audience.
This public program is funded by The Friends of the Garden city Public Library. Seating and parking is limited and on a first-come first-served basis. No tickets are required.

Mary Virginia Martin (December 1, 1913 - November 3, 1990) was a prolific Tony Award & Emmy Award-winning actress. She originated many roles over her career including Nellie Forbush in South Pacific and Maria in The Sound of Music. She was named a Kennedy Center Honoree in 1989.
