Last Wednesday, the Boston University woman’s lacrosse team traveled to Amherst, MA, to play the University of Massachusetts in a regular season Division I game. The game set up a family feud with sisters Caitlin Defliese (BU) and Dayna Defliese (UMass) playing directly against each other. Caitlin, a senior defenseman, matched up directly against her younger sister, Dayna, a sophomore midfielder, many times through out the match. No blood was drawn but nationally ranked BU came away with a 10 to 8 victory. Caitlin has bragging rights in the house for the moment, but Dayna is hoping for a rematch in the NCAA Tournament in May.
