Blending a fine balance between a playing style based upon strong fundamentals and an often-time “never say die” attitude, Coaches Joe Amato and Jim Dutton have guided their CYO Eighth Grade Class B basketball team to a perfect 10-0 regular season. Due to a strongly balanced conference, this team would find itself in a dog-fight almost every week and, as a result, would depend upon their abilities to keep their composure and rely on their team approach to be successful.

Several of their victories required come-from-behind efforts some of which were from second half double-digit deficits.

The team would end up winning 7 games by 5 points or less including their last three contests by just a bucket as they secured a coveted seeding in the 2010 Nassau / Suffolk CYO playoffs. Hats off to the following team members: James Amato, Michael Cassano, John Cauchi, Mark Disantis, Conor Donachie, James Dutton, Tim Feyer, Tom and Jack Reina, Joseph Torres, Jon Toto and Thomas Zwicke. The parents of the players would like to thank Coaches Amato and Dutton for their tireless efforts through a most exciting season.
